Baby!!
Hello everybody!!! Rachel and I are the proud parents of Baby Andrew William Stuart! 7 pounds 11 ounces, 21 inches born 607am on February 19, 2007!! I'm loving it! Current Mood: cheerful | | Sunday, December 24th, 2006 | | 11:00 pm |
The Night before Christmas I thought this appropriate. Here it is once again... A Squirrel's: The night before Christmas'Twas the night before Christmas', when all through that abode, Not a human was stirring, not even on the commode; The stockings were hung over that really hot place, In hopes that a Jolly fat Guy would be there with haste; The siblings were dreaming all comfy in bed, While mice in the attic did sleep o’r their heads; And mamma and daddy being naughty next room, And I watching from the tree did start to loom,
When atop that big house there arose such a clatter, I sprang from my nest to see what was the matter. Away to the hole I scurried in a flash, Around the many nuts I had earlier stashed.
The Christmas lights glowed bright all around, Gave the appearance of twilight to everything it found, When, what to my small little eyes should appear, But a Humongous sleigh, and eight flying deer,
With a really old driver, crazy and full of glee, I thought to myself: ‘this guy’s A.D.H.D. More rapid than Terriers his creatures they came, And he whistled, and I think he called them by name:
"Now, BASHER! now, CANCER! now, PANZI and VIXEN! On, COMET! on BOBBY! on, DONDER and BLITZCREED! To the top of the car! to the top of the wall! Now dash around! dash around! dash around all!"
"As the kite in a hurricane is trying to fly, Is what these things looked like up in the sky, So up to the house-top the reindeer they flew, With the sleigh full of gadgets, and that fat guy too.
And then, in a banging, I heard on the roof, The bouncing and clawing of each little hoof. I jumped to the home from my tree standing by, And followed down the chimney, that red suited guy.
He was dressed all in fur, not the soft kind but rough, And his clothes were all messed up with ashy black stuff; A bag of great value he had by his side, and he looked like a man with something to hide.
His eyes -- how they sparkled! his dimples how scary! His cheeks were like candy, his nose like a fairy's! His face had a smile that was drawn really high, And his beard was white, like a cloud in the sky;
A very big belly was on this poor fellow, And it shook, when he laughed like a bowl of Jell-O. I thought he would steal everything on the tree, And I almost sprang on him until he turned towards me;
He held out his hand and to my surprise, Were a couple acorns of considerable size; A wink of his eye, he was trying to bribe me, It was then I remembered my Squirrel loyalty;
So I attacked him and scratched him with all of my might, And he started to scream when I started to bite, He took off his coat with me still attached, I guess that he knew, he just wasn’t a match;
Up the chimney he went as fast as could, Only to find his sleigh gone, alone he stood. His reindeer scared off by my furry tailed friends, Gave him a reason to fear that this was his end.
Don’t worry little child, you’ll see by the morning, We let that Santa guy off with a warning. But to you let this be an example that’s true, If you mess with larri, worse could happen to you.”
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!! | | Saturday, December 2nd, 2006 | | 1:06 am |
la la la la la
Oh yes, you better believe it! Here it is- a parallel to Santa Clause is coming to town: You better watch out You better not cry You better not doubt I'm telling you why Squirrels are surrounding your town. They're making a hit list Checking it thrice Gonna knock off who's naughty not nice Squirrels are surrounding your town. They watch you while you're sleeping They stalk you when awake They keep tabs on all that you do So if you're bad you're gonna ache. Oh! You better just run You better be fast Don't be undone Cause their numbers are vast Squirrels are surrounding your town. Squirrels are surrounding your town! Yea, so don't be bad, or dumb, or whatever... Bye bye for now. -larri | | Tuesday, November 7th, 2006 | | 11:16 am |
Oops Again!!?!
Well well well. I see you are still alive and kicking. That means you weren't one of the many people on the squirrel's hit list... Lucky you. Be glad, the Squirrels let you live another day. Make it a useful one. Who knows maybe they won't let you live to see tomorrow. You could be on their list now... So another oops happened- This time not my fault but it falls into what has become "normal" for Rachel and I. The doctors got it wrong- We are having a BOY not a girl. The lady on the UltraSound machine even wrote on the screen: "Oops- its a Boy!" So all that stuff I told you before about our baby Girl is now different. I'm still glad Grandma got to hear the name even though it wasn't right. Eventually I'm sure Rachel and I will have another child and hopefully it will be a girl. The name Maria Grace will apply to her. So the name for the boy? Its Andrew William Stuart. The name Andrew is one that both me and Rachel like and William is the name passed down from the Stuart Men- Great Grandpa and Grandpa were both named William and my dad and I have the middle name William. How do I feel about a baby boy. Well at first it took some getting used to. Really I'm happy if our baby is healthy. At least now our son can play with all the toy Dinosaurs that I have. Parenting will be another adventure in this world and I'm up for it- all the thrills, joy, laughter, stress, discovery and hard times that come with it. Till next time! -Thomas Ps: be afraid of the Squirrels... Very AFRAID. Current Mood: cheerful | | Saturday, October 21st, 2006 | | 7:12 pm |
An Update!
So I'm going to update this thing now. Read on if you must but I'll go ahead and let you know that a lot has happened in the past 5 months. I'm pretty much going to keep it short so here goes: First the blessing that I think is the greatest: I got married on August 19th. Most of you know this but for those of you that don't I hope your not too surprised. Rachel K. Lee became Rachel Lee Stuart and I have'nt been happier. Now I know several of you are thinking "why so soon when they said next year?" Well, we had pushed the date forward because we found out that we were having a child! Exciting? Scary! Wow! you bet but I am very grateful to my God for blessing us with a baby even though we were the ones who screwed up and sinned. The summer was pretty good, I didn't work much and went to summer school to finish school. All the drama of baby and wedding plans were on the brain pretty much most of summer. Tom did introduce me to Frisbee golf. -I'm now pretty addicted... On that note I was the first in our little circle to get an Eagle! It was with the cheetah for those of you who know all about my favorite frisbee. The wedding was wonderful- I couldn't stop smiling the whole time and Rachel looked absolutely gorgeous. A lot of people showed up. We danced, she smashed cake in my face, oh and I got to see Michael & Tom Holland, Rodney Money, Dan Coles and my brother dance in funny hats to the YMCA song- it was priceless- thanks guys for enduring this for me. I love the whole thing- especially the person I married. Our honey moon was short but good as well- we'll just have to take another one sometime after the baby is born. On another note- my dad lost his job at Glaxo SmithKline. His boss was pretty much looking to get rid of him- pray that my dad gets another job that he'll enjoy working at and that it pays a good salary. On top of all that my grandma Stuart died a couple weeks ago. Her name was Maria anna Kreidenmacker Stuart. She lived to be 79 years old and died from a disease called ALS. I miss her greatly and would trade all I have to have her back. I only hope that she is with the Lord and I'll see her again one day. -This has taken a pretty hard hit on our family especially my dad and his sister so please pray for them too. Baby stuff: Our girl is due in Mid February. Her name is Maria Grace Stuart- after Rachel's grandma and my grandma. We were lucky enough to find out the baby's sex several days before grandma died so she found out her name- that made her smile. Well because of our bundle of joy we are only in Boone until the middle of December. We are moving back to Durham where we have bought a house (address: 614 Edenberry Dr. Zip: 27707). Currently, while Rachel is in school for a semester I am working full time in construction. One day I plan on building a house for us so this is a great opportunity for me to learn, build some Muskles, and get paid all at the same time. I will be looking for a job very soon in Accounting for when we move back so be praying over that situation as well. So there have been a lot of rough times for me but also some great joys as well. Although Rachel and I had made a mistake God blessed us because we decided to live against what the world tells us and have this baby. I see that God really brought us a lot of things. Because of our mistake we got married earlier than expected allowing my grandmother to be at our wedding. She only passed away after finding out our baby's name too. I am working in construction for a little while and we found an apartment up here in boone that lasted just long enough not longer. We will have a home to come back to and each other to have and to hold. I am truely blessed by God. I am still enduring many great hurdles but Jesus is helping me through. Till next time, may God bless you, -Thomas Stuart Current Mood: contemplative | | Friday, May 5th, 2006 | | 1:33 am |
Grades are in
Ok, here's the deal, before you go WOW for my grades you have to listen to this first: I had my furry-tailed friends "talk" to my teachers before grades were submitted. So if any influence exists I thank my squirrels for the help they provided. But in all seriousness I really tried hard this semester; its all for them anyway. Just remember when you go to sleep tonight that the squirrels are the most devious of all beasts on this earth and can and do influence the most powerful men on this earth... So this semester was difficult to say the least. I pulled 2 all nighters, wrote a 27 page Business plan about Crazy Squirrels, modified and deleted some sections and added marketing portions for my marketing class to make that plan 28 pages, totaling 31ish pages when combining the two. I also used/made some where between 600-800 flash cards for tests, worked on over 25 different Auditing homeworks (some of which were reports), went to 2 different town of Boone meetings for Real Estate, wrote a report for Old Test. Lit, Wrote 2 reports for Real Estate, Prepared 2 different power point presentations and presented them and last but most certainly not least I had to study for 4 very difficult Auditing Exams, does anyone know what TIP SIE ACDO means? Fun stuff right? The funny thing is I was taking Real Estate for my own personal knowledge. Now the fun part, my grades are as follows: Real Estate: A Old Testiment: A- Entrepreneuership: A- Marketing: B+ Audit: B- HA!!! GPA this semster is 3.48!! You know the weird part? I've got no idea how the heck I got an A- in Old Test., oh, eh-hem... forgot, the squirrels... The funny part: I used Squirrels for my Entrepr. class and Marketing class... A professional University and the Squirrels came through to the end... Thank you God for helping me. Current Mood: excited | | Sunday, April 2nd, 2006 | | 12:43 am |
fun day
Don't freak out! yes I am doing another journal entry... Well today was a very interesting day. Today I went and played airsoft for about 4 hours. Let me tell you, it was a rememberable experience. We, meaning Dan, Nick, me and about 6 others went to a little place in the woods about 20 minutes from boone. We were armed and ready with about 7 or 8 Spring pistols, 2 spring shotguns, a spring AK47 and two semi-auto guns that weren't spring. Unfortunately the enemy, a group of 5 that likes to call themselves SG12, were packing Automatic weapons, and not just 1 auto, but at least 2 extra semi's per person!! These guns they were using cost about $150 for the lowest upto over $600 for one of the highest with its extras! If that didnt make you go UH OH right away then the first scenario definately did. We played them 5 versus us 9. Fair right? They picked us off at a distance that our guns couldn't even reach. And I was the first to go. The second scenario was a capture the flag one. We divided once again as us 9 vs SG12. We did get one or two this time but boy we definately lost. Oh, and they luckily agreed to just use their semis this time. I was pumping my shotgun like crazy. I was definately making them take cover but unfortunately my knee got hit and I was out. The Third scenerio, my favorite was where my day turned around. You'll enjoy this. We played a game called Preditor. 2 of the SG12 guys were the enemy and got to use fully automatic weapons, they ran off and hid in the woods. We got to use 2 of their guys while one acted as a ref. We were limited to spring or pistols. My shotgun had broken last round so I was limited to my spring pistol. We walked up the middle with 3 point men shooting at any target they saw to try and reveal the enemy. Low and behold the enemy didnt open fire until we had all passed and picked off one or two rear guards. At this point I decided to use one of my best tactics: Run around as far as you can and try to sneak up behind them. I was back in the woods when I heard one of them finally get hit. I had been following the sound of the autos to locate where they were. I found one, he was down in a creek area, I was up on the ridge. He didnt know I was there but my punny little gun can't shoot that far nor accurate so I didn't fire. Boy if I had an semi I would have let into him because he exposed his back to me several times. No, I needed to get with-in 15 to 20 feet to get a good shot off otherwise he could pick me off easy. (at this point I was at least 100 feet away if not 200). So I watched him move around 20 minutes or so. then he ran up his ridge away from me so I made my way down and across the creek then slowly up the opposite ridge. I crept up on him and listened as he picked off another guy who yells "HIT!" I was in the dirt on a path and pointing my gun at him, 15 feet away. But there was brush, and boy my gun doesnt like brush. At this point I see the ref walk right towards me, as he passes he casually drops his semi auto pistol in front of me and says "this will work better". so I didnt hesitate, I picked it up, jumped forward and let into him. We win. ps. Dan was the only other to survive this one. The last game was back to the 9 of us vs SG12. I tell the group that one guy should run left and the other right and try to flank them while the rest go up the middle. So I run right once again. I hear voices ahead of me and duck into the brush in front of me. It's important to note that I'm back to my Spring pistol again at this point. They come within 20 feet of me! 2 of them and they have no idea im there. Well, I let into them but Miss one guy for sure while the other is scrambling to get his gun. I get shot in the head and I'm out. I'm pretty sure I hit the one guy but was too busy trying to get off as many shots as possible to truely see one hit him and he was so padded down that he cant feel my shots anyway so they get off. If only I had that semi auto again, they both would have been down. On the other side where the other guy ran, he came up on someone too, probably could have gotten him but nope, that little spring pistol is nothing like their guns. Oh well, atleast my strategy worked well plus when that happened to me they told me "You'd make a wicked Ranger." You bet that made me smile. All in all I had fun and learned a little bit. I truely need a semi pistol if I ever expect to do well against these guys but thats alright, after all, I payed 20 bucks for my pistol and 17 for the shotgun so I'm not dropping loads of money on this. Maybe next time I'll be more sucessful... Current Mood: nerdy | | Saturday, April 1st, 2006 | | 1:09 am |
Here's an update...
Well hello everybody. larri here. I'm sure you've already started to see the squirrels come out of hiding. The funny thing is, for every 1 squirrel you see, there are 3 watching you that you don't see. And when you don't see any squirrels, watch out, its prob because you have 5 secretly watching you because you've done something bad. They are all around you, you cannot escape. You can run, you can hide, but whats the point if they can run faster, watch closer, find you where and when you least expect it? They're sneaky little guys and will hunt you down if they deem it necessary. You better believe it, they've got you surrounded. An update on Thomas: School: Well so far so good. I had multiple tests the week before Springbreak and got nothing less than a B on all 5 of them. I had to do a 17 page Business plan draft for Entrepreneurship this past Tuesday. Well, I procrastinated a little but pulled an all nighter and an A for 15% of our grade on that project. Oh, and by the way, it was single spaced. If it had been doubled it would have totaled 25 pages or so. The business I decided to do is a little novelty shop called "Crazy Squirrels". The funny thing is it has a lot of potential to be come a reality- of course I would need to do a lot more tinkering with product pricing, planning and design for T-shirts but thats another project. I've got a bunch more projects and tests due by the end of the semester but I guess it was expected seeing that I'm a senior. I get to walk in May! but not graduate until August- this is going to put damper on my normal summer plans. Oh well. After I graduate I plan on going to community college to try and optain a degree in Automotive systems. While there I will probable take other courses in Information systems- Networking and maybe some in Arcitecture and Electrical/Electronics. I aparently have become quite fascinated with many new things. I would love to one day be able to obtain a degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate licence, Automotives, Networking, and maybe finance. Thats a lot, thats for sure. I don't know, it may be possible one day. I'll just have to take things a step at a time. I definately do a lot of that kind of stuff already: I tinker with lots of electrical things, I'm very interested in Housing-design, I'm in a Real Estate class right now and like learning about that stuff, I've always taken an interest in Computers and want to learn more about them- In particular Networking, I love to work on my car, and I want to be able to do lots of different type of financing activities- especially investing. So weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Life is good right now, I don't know where my future is going b/c I just want to learn a lot of things right now, I wish I had wanted to do all this stuff my freshman year, then I wouldnt have messed up like I did. Well at least as of right now I will obtain my BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, and I'll have a Mathamatics Minor this August. From then on, I hope God will just lead me where He wants me to go, and of course I hope to have fun along the way. Rachel and I are doing just great right now. We have lots of fun and special moments. We plan and plan but who knows what the future holds. She will be finishing College by May 07 so there will be a year of long distance relations between us. I hope it will go by swiftly because I love her and don't want her to be sad (or I for that matter). Plans come and go but love lasts even in the hard times. Well, pray that the rest of the semester goes well for me and that I get lots accomplished. If ya stuck through all the writing congrats. Peace out... -Thomas Current Mood: cheerful | | Tuesday, March 7th, 2006 | | 11:37 am |
Death...
Okay, so I know that the title is a little depressing, but here goes: I've known Sandy Adams for many many years, I dated her daughter for a little while when I was young. She was like a second mother to me back then. I didn't get to see her much after my younger years b/c she was always suffering from an illness or disease. Unfortunately for me, she passed away last Thursday. She was 47 years old and left a husband and 2 daughters behind. She on the other hand, is in heaven now, a great change from her life on earth. I know her suffering has ceased and thats a great joy to know. I was in Raleigh this past weekend because of her funeral. It was a very nice ceremony, lots of great songs and beautiful speeches. I was given the great honor of being one of the Pallbearers along with 5 others. I don't know how we all kept ourselves together doing that. Andy, and Gene had the most noticeable trouble out of the 6 of us. I did keep it together however, until I got into my car at the grave site. I will miss Sandy dearly but rejoice in knowing that I will get to see her once again when I get to Heaven. Here is a poem I wrote last night: FOR SANDY ADAMS: The pain has ceased, The suffering subsided, She no longer wonders about tomorrow, Peace is what she's found. Joy in the arms of her Father, A love that embraces her. Though Sandy has passed from this life, She rejoices in Heaven, She signs for the angels. She is comforted being in the presence of the Lord. I will truly miss her, Miss her smile, her gentle hugs, her warm heart, her encouraging words, her mother-like presence. Though she left us behind, Though we miss her greatly, Though we wish to have her hugs and hear her words, We rejoice, for we know God has her. We know that one day, far or near, One day we will see her again, One day Heaven will beckon us to come, To come and be with God and know that Sandy is most definitely in the best care she could ever hope for. Thank you God for taking care of Sandy, -Thomas William Stuart Next time I'll have a more cheerful entry, hopefully soon. Current Mood: restless | | Wednesday, February 8th, 2006 | | 4:43 am |
Wow! an update!
Hello hello! Bet you're wondering "why hasn't that larri fellow updated his journal yet?" Well here it is, the last month in a nutshell: I'm back here at Appalachian State University and guess what? Its my last full semester! I only have 2 classes left after this. This semester is full with several classes. First: Old Testiment Lit. So far so good, I haven't had a test yet but there should be one soon. Second: Real Estate. I got an 95.3 on the 1st exam and there is a paper due this friday. Third: Entrepreneuership. This class is a participation class so I'm doing well for that part. Also, the object of the class is to create a business plan for a future business. I chose to create a company called CRAZY SQUIRRELS. I'll update you as this progresses. Fourth: Accounting- Audit. This course is by far my toughest class this semester. I know the material for the most part but the test is extremely hard using CPA questions. I will have to study more in dept next time- I got a 66 on the test which is far lower than I expected. Atleast the homework grade is helping me out though: I have 7 full credit (100) homeworks so far (all that have been assigned). Last: Marketing. I got an 88 on the exam and we are doing a project that is creating a Marketing plan for a business, yep you guessed it, Im doing the crazy squirrels again. This is good because I can intermingle the two subjects together and relate them. I went to the Gulf Coast Get-A-Way on the weekend of Jan 11thish. It was warm, sunny and great! Good worship, Good speaker, and good fellowship. I'm glad I went. Unfortunately Rachel's voice was out of comission that weekend so she couldn't sing or speak (normally anyway). We had a good last night discussion/Devo. The ride was long and I actually drove for about an hour and a half. My car is doing good. It doesn't like the cold as much; I can tell it loses a little power when its cold out. I put some anti-fog on the interior windshield and that seemed to work pretty well. I also got the TV working for the inside. The Nintendo is coming along: I fixed it so it works perfectly but I need some kind of 12v to 9v converter for the car to get it working in there. I am also installing some speakers in the Back doors which will be the Nintendo speakers. I got pulled over by the police one night. He was pulling me over to see if I had been drinking (he asked) but used my broken tail light as and excuse. After seeing that I was not impaired he promptly handed back my licence and regist. and just told me to get my light fixed. And yes, my front left window moter is still broken. So I have to take 2 more classes after this as I said above. I have several options: 1) take it during the 2nd summer session (the only time one of these classes is offered). I would miss camp if I did this but would have all my schooling done by the end of the summer. or 2)Take the classes next semester and live in Boone. I am leaning towards the first option. I have lived up here in Boone for the past 5 years and am pretty tired of it. plus, I miss my family, friends and church back home. I love the people up here (especially my GF) but I think I want to go home. I know that If I take the classes in Fall that I would be closer to Rachel but I would also have to pay rent and be obligated to do so until next summer. I also would have to find a job in boone rather than at home. Any advice? Other Notible things: I have an AirSoft gun which is a lot of fun. Dan and I have gone out in the woods to play several times. I'm pretty tight on money right now. I owe my Dad a good amount. I owe the school some money. I dont really have a food budget. And I just can't buy/do the things I want. Its definately time to get a job. I have the need. I'm selling a bunch of books on ebay. look for my name: funnylarri. They should be up in a week or so. Need any guppies? I got lots! Have some, no really, take some please (they're really cheap...). Rachel and I have been talking about marriage in case you haven't heard. First off, no we probably wont be engaged anytime soon (at my discresion of course). Also, we won't get married until after Rachel Graduates. Thats a year and a half from now and a lot can happen. So, please stop spreading the rumors and stop being so giddy about the subject. I love her and we'll leave it at that. Overall I'm doing okay. I could use a long break but thats ok. I'll survive this semester and hopefully pull up that Audit grade... Have a good one, oh and good job if you actually read all of this. PEACE OUT! -larri ps: the squirrels do see you and monitor you. The find it especially interesting to observe you while you sleep... Current Mood: okay | | Sunday, December 11th, 2005 | | 1:54 pm |

UPDATE??!!
Ok, I know what you are thinking, "why the heck hasn't that boy updated in 4 months?" well, I'm sorry, i got enveloped with the take-over of russia by the Squirrels. I twas a big task but we finally got it accomplished. Any way, how bout I just update what happened this summer first: 1) I didn't get a job at a store but I did reface cabinets at the Horn's house. I got paid very well and earned a good bit this summer, not my goal but it was enough to get me through the summer and a few months at school. Did I mention that Matt got a Corevette?!! Yellow and very beautiful. 2) I went to Honduras! It was my first time riding a plane and very exciting, especially take off: you go 0 to like 150 in 10 seconds... Here is the short version of my trip: Honduras is a very poor country. The people in the villages that we visited had no electricity (except 1) and no pathed streets. A lot of the animals just roam around on the streets and poop there too, it was not a cleanly place like the americas. I got to play soccor against the Hondurans, I got to stay at a little house very similar to a cabin with no hot water, only little lights for night time due to a solar pannel, uncomfortable bed, and no A/C. You may say, why go? Well even though those were the bad things, they didn't really bother me. I met a lot of great people who love God, thats the bottom line. I got to build Pillas, mix and pour concrete and ride around in the back of a pickup truck on rough roads. I ate lots of beans and rice, hike up a mountain, and see things Ive never seen before. It was a great trip and I look forward to going back hopefully next year. 3) My car had the brakes done, including the emergency. that cost a pretty penny. 4) I flipped over the boards on our wooden walkway, so hopefully no more slipping and falling when it rains. 5) I got to hang out with my girl, Rachel, a lot this summer. that was fun and I enjoyed it much. she also went to Honduras. 6) A big one: Tamara got Married to Rodney! they moved to Greenville in the hopes Tamara would get into medical school. 7) I didn't see my friends as much as I would have liked this summer, It seems as we are getting older that we are focusing our time on girlfriends, jobs and the likes rather than seeing eachother and catching up... I hope to correct this in the future. 8) There were a lot of great sermons at Church this summer. We currently don't have a preacher but invite others to come preach for us and I have to say they have all done an outstanding job. 9) This year we didn't go on a summer vacation. Kinda sad b/c I was hoping to. With Tamara married and Tim not ever wanting to go on vacations, I think our family vacation days are over. I don't like that much. 10) My mom and dad Toured the NE areas, they had a good time and left my brother and I at home for 10 days... No we didnt reek havac on the house. 11) I was a councilor at Carolina Bible Camp again this year. It was much more dificult than in years past. My kids were much more troublesome and it was just me and Mike. Usually Tom is there and he was even assigned to be a counsilor in our cabin but he bailed the day before camp: that was extreeeemly upsetting especially since the reason he did it became futile since it didn't happen. Tom has been frustrating me all summer, he has become a different person ever since he started dating Allison. More on him later. Back to camp: there was a helicopter and a fire truck that came 2 diff. days. pretty cool. we had teams at camp and my team won 1st place in 4 seperate categories. I didn't get to play any awesome pranks this year but i did turn off cabin 11's hot water tuesday, and they didnt figure it out at all, instead the head cousilor turned it back on friday afternoon. It was pretty funny to listen to the kids whine about not having hot water... Camp was uplifting as always, but this year was def. different with out Tom... I hope that is enough for you now, I will update what has happened since summer: you wont want to miss it! I will also rant on some things that are pissing me off right now which will just be my way of getting it out... Oh, and don't forget, Russia has been conqured by the Squirrels, despite the fact that it appears normal to you... Current Mood: awake | | Thursday, May 19th, 2005 | | 1:49 am |
yay
Well folks, summer is finally here and I couldn't be more excited... yippee. Yeah, well, you shouldn't be excited at all: This is an oppertune time for the Squirrels to strike! BOOM, BANG, BA DA BING, POW WOW BOOM!! Yea, you just sit back and watch the show. They'll be attacking from all directions with every little detail carefully planned out, they can't go wrong. Be weary, those beady little eyes are watching your every move and monitoring all your activity. Soon you will face their wrath, soon you will find yourself begging for mercy, soon you will be very, very, very unhappy. Okay, so summer is here now, that means I need a job. poo. So I owe quite a bit of money right now: $150: credit card, $248: Dad, and a new bill: $65 for my car property tax. I won't forget to mention that I also will owe another $110 for Insurance at the end of the month, plus what ever it cost for an emissions inspection, plus another $204 for parking at App... grrrrrr... but its okay. I will make it all soon, with my sceaming and careful planning I will pay it all off. Ya, after I get a job that is, I have a few odd jobs right now so I should be okay in the short run. so enough ranting. Its my fault after all that I have no job anyway. HONDURAS: I'm going!! I almost have all the funds I need to go, just a little shy now of $800 for a suposive $1200 trip. It will be absolutily wonderful to be on the mission trip. I will learn a lot and I get to go with my girl-friend Rachel beautiful Lee. She is one of 2 females, so I will be beating off the men while down there. My car drives great, gas is expensive though. I'm going to wax it down soon and it will look marvelous. Still no flow masters, those will follow soon hopefully. I cleaned my room this last week, its like a tartus in there (for those of you who watch Doctor Who). I have pulled out a tone of trash, like 5 or 6 bags full and on top of that vacuumed a ton of dust. I re-arranged the room toys a little, its pretty neat, come see some time if you are in the area. Star Wars Episode III!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, you know what I mean. I just hope theres a long slow death torcher scene of jar jar binks... He deserves it for electing Palpatine to leader of the senate and for being the most annoying character EVER. yea, you stupid creature, you are the cause of the Empire and for the deaths of countless people, congratulations. Well now, just watch your backs, its ok. Hopefully the furry ones will get you while you're not looking :) -larri out Current Mood: chipper | | Monday, April 11th, 2005 | | 9:34 pm |
I'm Alive!
I guess its been quite a while since i've updated... okay, fine, here it is, my life right now in a nutshell: School: Sucks, I dont like home work but it has to be done. I'm doing pretty good in all my classes with an exception: OT lit I could be doing better in. We'll leave it at that. Car: Running fine, still no flow masters, and still a gas guzzler. I love it though. It has caused me to owe a little more money than I would like but thats ok b/c its worth it. Money: I have none. But I'm working on it... Girl: This is the part that makes me happiest: Rachel is a great joy in my life. I love her to death and want to hold her forever and never let her go again. She makes me feel wonderful! Yea, I know your jealous. what-eva... deal with it... heh heh Fish: The six that were born back in January are getting pretty big now, they currently swim in the main tank with the rest of them. I do have 15 new babies in a jar as of late march. yikes, these fish are breeding like crazy! School year is coming to an end now. Exams are coming and homework never lets up. But in a month I will be home again and hopefully have a job very soon after that. I think this summer is going to be one of the best. I get to go go Honduras and then to camp 7th week. I get to see my girl a bunch and my doggies to. My sister is getting married on June 25th and Rodman is the groom (sorry bud). He's an awesome guy and is lucky to have Tamara. But if he ever messes up we want our payment back... :) Love is in the air, the ducks are once again raping each other... Remember when you pass them, the squirrels have aranged it all: think about it. You are walking along the sidewalk and what are you doing: Thinking about duck rape and being preoccupied with how horrible it looks, especially that one duck that has a limp. Yea, you know the one. All along the squirrels are watching above. You dont even notice! They are exacting revenge on those who deserve it. The little things that are going wrong right now in your life, many of them are caused by the fluffy tailed rodents. Ha! You had no idea did you?! You poor pittiful being. Squirrels are very genious and insightful. very devious. You just can't tell when or where they'll strike you next. They can make you shift the blame to fate or God's punishment. But no, its them. Disturbing isn't it? Your whole life in front of you, and the only creature thats letting you keep your life is a small, furry, rat like animal that has a brain one-fiftyith the size of yours but has more capabilities than anyone. And I'm the one leading them! Oh yes, be nice to me... Its just not good to be mean, and don't even think about trying anything sneaky. I have eyes, little beaty eyes everywhere to see you... HAPPY
What can I say, I'm just happy... High as a kite... Light as a feather... Jumpy like the Easter Bunny making a quick get-a-way from Old Southern Farmer Brown... bouncy like a llama on steriods... I've been whisked away like Frank in a 50mph gust of wind... My smile is so big that when a clown stands next to me people give him a hug cause he's frowning... I'm more excited than a Jack Russel terrier chasing his butt around the room... I'm more jolly than Saint Nick... I'm more thrilled than fat kid being sent to a chocolate factory... Do you get the picture? .............. Heh, heh, -larri is happy too, and so am I Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvellous things... Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn- shout for joy before the LORD, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy. Update time...
Hello all... You don't know anything do you? How could you? Do you have eyes in the back of your heads? Can you sense things that are yet to come? Have you even noticed things that have already come to pass? What do you know about them? Who are you to challenge them? Why would you dare to venture into their realm? You don't even have a clue about their plans and current state of things. You can't possible fathom the amount of power they possess! You think you can take them? You think you can out-smart them? You think you even have a chance of hiding things from them? They know your inner-most thoughts. They can predict your actions. They surround you and you don't even see. They can grasp more than you can even imagine! How can you even think about going against them? You don't even have a chance. Give up. Give in. They are masters of the trees. They are masters of the underground. They even can fly. Nothing is impossible for them. Realize this. No one is safe. No one, No one can stand up against them. It's all just wishful thinking. The Squirrels will rule this world one day. They really do already, you just don't know anything. How could you? ... Ok, thats my rant about Squirrels for the day... Now onto other things: I got a 94 on my OT test. I have another test next week in ACC and one the week after that in WC. My Car: (other stuff at bottom so skip if ya want to) Oh yea. It's awesome! It is a blue (dark night color) 1997 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. No folks, it didn't actually have the cage in the trunk: it had all the plastic pieces to set one up though. It goes fast, sounds beautiful, and drives nice. Ok, so i ran into a problem at first: It was making a clicking noise, not good. Then it was shaking at low speeds followed by a check engine light. I figured it out eventually, a cap came loose for a spark plug so once i fixed it, all the problems went away. The good and the bad: Good: Fast Easy steering Cruise control (i love it on trips!) Engine easy to get to stuff for maintainence comfy seats Roomy Dome light Nice color Police Interceptor Excelent Defrosting system! Police issue hub caps- Nice Huge trunk Electric everything Bad: Dent near gas cap (small) Paint spots on top Pannel over door looks replaced (paint coming off) Bumper slightly off on front right: looks like a small accident happened (not going to come off though) Poor gas milage: on trip + driving in boone: about 18 maybe upto 20 mpg No spare tire or Jack Front driver inner panneling on door cracked Things Ive done to the car already: New cd player installed New window wipers Cleaned it out with vacume and carpet cleaner and windex Supplies: Jumpers, scraper, snow shovel, etc... Air freshener Things I still need to do: Oil change Battery needs top cleaned Flush Cooling system Check squeeky brakes Needs middle consol b/w seats Needs spare tire, jack and other supplies. Flow Masters!! Overall it is a Great buy! Very nice for my first car won't you say? The trip up here was especially funny, cars kept moving out of my way kinda like they did with the Lincoln (tom's old car). One car, while i was on a two lane highway with no one around, put on his brakes as i was coming up on him in the left lane. I made Tom really miss the Lincoln when he drove my car a bit last Saturday. Poor tom, at least he has a faster car than me. Here is the kicker: I have a special license plate: SQUIRR3L thats right, you read it! after all, I am their leader, I have to maintain the name... heh heh. Now the only thing thats left is I need to name the car. It's a male and it has to be cool. Remember its blue so fire won't suit it... got any suggestions? I'll leave you with this quote I got from Rachel when she went to visit Ms. Daisy: "Take what you want when you want it, or somebody else will." -V. AH HA
Florida was Great!! Sunshine, 70 degree weather... ok, so we got cloudy and mostly rain, with 60 degree weather. Still pretty good!! We had lots of fun on the trip. I'll give you some highlights and some downsides: Highlights: 1. The singing was awesome! 2. Speaker was great even though a replacement! 3. Our group grew closer (the ones that went down). 4. Cold Pool, Delightful Jacuzzi! 5. larri juice 6. Saw Josh Smith (son of Alan and Susan), that boy is fearless and cracks me up! 7. Found my first, but only, Shark's tooth from the gulf coast of Florida. 8. The trip back was muy muy fun! 9. Talk radio with Ken on the way down. 10. Ken and Jeanie! They're wonderful! 11. I stole a kiss (don't ask who, my little secret, heh heh) and was dubbed more manly than Josh E. and Jamie Cooper by staying in the freezing water longer than them and thus finding that when your body starts to feel warm in cold water after you've been in for a while, yea, its time to get out. 12. got a little reading in on the Auto Repairs for Dummies book... 13. Apache 1 and It-ti bit-ti rabbit. 14. Fun! did I mention it was Fun!! Downsides: 1. Trip down to Florida was a bummer. Guys and Girls seperated and the guys barely spoke, I stayed awake almost the entire trip (one 30 min nap) despite my getting an hour and a half of sleep the night before. 2. It did rain most of the time, I wish I could have walked on the beach more 3. Our original speaker got stuck in Atlanta with the ice. 4. I wish we stayed Longer!!! *the trip was great!! Too bad you werent there (for those who didnt go of course) I am going to get my car this Thursday if I'm not snowed in that is. 1 foot possible???? Why!? I got my first test back: 85- hoped it would be higher, but this will do for now. I have another test Tomorrow in Old Test. Lit, we'll see how that goes. And, I found more books... I need to put an ebay store up soon. Ive spent about 10 bucks on books and I can get a return of 40 or more. No, I'm not a business major (sarcasm people). What else do ya want to know? I'm doing good in general. Happy would be a good word to use. I will remember that Jesus is my savior in good times and bad. So I thank God for my life even when I am in a rut, even when I am happy, even when I hear things I wish not to hear, even when I am rejoicing. OH, you didnt think i would forget did you: the Squirrel saying for the entry: Squirrels! Squirrels! They're good for your heart! The more you meet, the more you get torn apart! -larri out. | | Tuesday, January 25th, 2005 | | 7:39 pm |
Today is a good day.
Well now, the Squirrels are slowly coming out of their hiding spots to search for food and VENGENCE. Thats right, all of you who thought you could back talk them while they were sleeping, HA, they heard you. And now, they're coming to get you... What will you do, where will you go? STUPID questions! There is nothing you can do, no where you can run, no where to hide!! It's the end!!! Never more will you back talk them! Never more will you taunt the fuzzy ones! Never more will you do anything without the squeeky ones knowledge!! Woooowhoooha ha ha ha... Just beg for mercey... You never know, they might grant it, after all, they are the superior species. I think they might take pitty... NOT!! Having fun up here at App... Last night I finnished a big project that took 5 hours! yikes, already this early into the semester! But its ok, I am doing well in all of my classes. I actually enjoy going to them because the teachers are interesting (except Accounting, he's kinda dull). Still haven't missed a single day (except racketball)! I keep finding books, old ones, at the Library for sale at 50 cent each. I am going to put some of them on ebay soon b/c they actually might fetch a pretty good price. And now the EXCITING NEWS: I won a Crown Victoria!! Finally! I will go home next weekend to pick it up, but here are the details: Dark Blue, 1997, 112608 miles, Police Interceptor, 210 HP, V8, electic everything, huge trunk, and the kicker: Metal Cage. Yes, you read it right, it has the caging in the trunk so i could set it up in the back of the vehicle!! I am going to have fun with the minor details of this car! All it needs is: Waxing, CD player, Spare tire, and FLOW MASTERS... heh heh I am going to make the car purrrr... NICE. I am going to be doing stuff to it all weekend when I get it. It'll be fun. This coming weekend I am going to Florida (panama city)for the Gulf Coast Get-a-Way. It will be fun too. Wow, lots to do the next few weeks as far as tests and Hw and work and you name it, but I am going to be very optimistic about things this semester... God sure is the Almighty! This is a great song for all you Boone people: "If the skys above you are gray, You are feeling so blue. If your cares and burdens seem great All the whole day through. There's a silver lining that shines In the Heavenly land. Look by faith and see it my friend, Trust in His promises grand. Sing and you'll be happy today, Press along to the goal, Trust in Him who leadeth the way, He is keeping your soul; Let the world know where you belong, look to Jesus and pray, Lift your voice and praise Him in song, Sing and be happy today!" Bye for now, and remember, the Squirrels will watch over you day by day... Current Mood: happy | | Tuesday, January 18th, 2005 | | 7:25 pm |
Here goes nothing
Ok, What has happened recently: I lost that car that I mentioned in my previous entry, but by 800 dollars so no biggy. I will bid, yet again, on another Police interceptor next tuesday... This one is funny in that it has a cage in the trunk that I could set up b/w the seats... stay tuned. School is going good so far. I have missed one class so far, this morning as a matter of fact. I used one of my 4 absences for Racket ball b/c I didnt want to go outside in shorts when it was 4.5 degrees, or -10 with the windchill. Dont get me wrong, I definately got up, I just worked on HW instead. Otherwise I am doing very well this semester. No work as of yet, I am debating on when I want to go back to work. Probably will happen in a week or so. I found some really cool books each 50 cents! 4 dating below 1910 and a 1929 book and "The last of the Mohicans" from 1951. Really cool books. I am not a bookworm, I just find really old things facinating. I also bought the 2001 World almanac for 25 cents. lots of cool facts. I rented a book today: "Auto Repair for Dummies." I hope to learn more about vehicle engines in general so I can do more work myself rather than rely on a mechanic, plus that kind of thing interests me. I had to get it sent from another University b/c our school doesnt have anything remotely close to an engine repair book. So I guess I will be doing some "light" reading over the next few weeks. A friend Died last week, Wilton Braswell. He had been fighting cancer up until his death. He went peacefully from what I have heard. What's sad is he was no older than my dad, and his wife had just gotten over her cancer. This life is full of sorrow, but one thing can be for certain: He is not suffering any more, rather his is with my saviour Jesus, in Heaven. That makes me hopeful that we will meet again some day. Alright, now the mischievious information: We made a really awesome Fire cracker. Now before we actually set it off, we called it a bomb b/c we didnt know how powerful it was going to be. It was a tennisball with match heads and other "ingredients" that will remain unknown to you b/c I dont want to give you any ideas. It blew up into about a 15 foot radious, you could see the match heads flying in the wind. Dont worry, we took many precautions: long fuse, safe distance, a place in the middle of no where and snow was on the ground to prevent any spread of fire. Yea, some call me the mad ASU bomber, I hope I can live up to those words but not so much as to damage property, hurt some one or get in trouble. The Fishes. the fry in my tank are growing, slowly but surely. They be cute. I have to play hide and go seek with them to determine if any died, but still, I havent been able to determine if all are still there. Time will tell their breed and numbers. Well, I hope you havent been bored reading this, leave a comment wont you? And I'll leave this with you as a last comment: The Squirrels are tired, sleeping away the winter snow. Bundled fluffy rats that just want to keep warm. Dont disturb their layer or they might do something more dreadful than you can imagine. Peace may exist now, but soon the end will be coming. Join their conquest or you will be their next victim. You have until the end of Winter to decide. What is your choice? Dom Dom Dom! Well, back to the real world, Here Goes Nothing!
